We are indebted to Michael Shuttleworth, and to Trevor Ibbotson and Stuart Ollerenshaw for access to their land for much of the junior course, which enabled us to stay away from the roads. Next year I will try to flatten more of the bracken; I apologise for the struggle some of you had, but you all aquitted yourselves exceptionally well. Also in a normal, drier, year the fields at the start and finish would have been mown for hay by now, and you would have not had the healthy crop of thistles to contend with!
